The goal of this project was to design a room divider for an open multidisciplinary workshop. The end result is a half-moon-shaped room divider made from a steel frame and eleven plywood blades. The materials were chosen because they are reliable and familiar, while also being strong enough to make the design sturdy and durable.
A multitude of the same half-moon-shaped divider enables the users to divide a space in various creative ways.
The eleven plywood blades are able to rotate individually. The amount of light and sound that passes through the room divider can be adjusted, by rotating the blades or changing your perspective towards the room divider.
